Cancellation Policy

Jen Lair is committed to creating beautiful, functional websites with integrity, clarity, and collaboration. Below are the policies that guide every project to ensure a smooth and successful process. Communication & Project Scope All projects begin with a discovery call or detailed questionnaire to define goals, features, timeline, and budget. Scope is based on the selected package. Any additional pages, features, or edits outside the original agreement may incur additional fees. Communication is handled primarily via email, text, or scheduled video call. 📆 Timeline Estimated timelines: Starter Site: 2–3 weeks Small Business Showcase: 3–5 weeks Premium Interactive Site: 4–6 weeks Delays due to late content delivery, unapproved designs, or client unavailability may affect delivery date. Timely feedback is essential to keep your project on track. 📦 Content Client is responsible for providing all text, images, and assets unless otherwise arranged. Stock photography, copywriting, or content editing services can be added for an additional fee. If needed, placeholder text/images will be used until final content is submitted. 💵 Payment Terms A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to reserve your project start date. Remaining 50% is due upon completion and before final site handoff or publication. Payments accepted via: PayPal, Venmo, direct bank transfer, or through Wix. Late payments may delay project delivery or result in additional fees. Revisions Each package includes a specific number of revision rounds: Starter: 1 revision round Showcase: 2 revision rounds Premium: 3 revision rounds Additional revisions billed at $75/hour. Launch & Handoff Final site will be reviewed and approved by client before going live. Upon launch, you will receive access credentials and training (if applicable) to manage your site. Post-launch support is available for up to 7 days. Ongoing maintenance plans are optional. Ownership & Credits Upon final payment, you own the rights to your website content and design. Jen Lair retains the right to display your site in a personal or professional portfolio. A small footer credit (“Website by Jen Lair”) may be included unless otherwise agreed. Cancellations & Refunds If a project is canceled after work has begun, the deposit is non-refundable and additional hours will be invoiced. Projects inactive for 30+ days without communication are considered abandoned and may incur a restart fee.
