Service Description

Need some help with your bees? Would you like someone else to care for them regularly, or just need some extra hands every now and then? We can help. Jen Rasmussen Lair of Paradise Nectar Apiaries offers regular hive maintenance services for Big Island residents. Service areas range from Pahoa and surrounding areas to Mt. View, HPP, Hilo, and the Hamakua coast to Honokaa. Paradise Nectar was started by helping others with their bees in 2008; and is still continuing the tradition today as the company has grown, caring for honeybee hives for regular clients each month. Bee Guardian Jen Rasmussen Lair offers treatment-free hive management once a month for $75/hour + tax. Management is offered for both Top Bar and Langstroth hives. Travel fees of $12.50-$100 apply to all locations over 30 miles from Mountain View, rates vary depending on location and road conditions. If you have a hive that needs care; or want to get bees and have someone else care for them, we can help. Cancellation Policy

📅 Booking Policy Lessons are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Full payment of $50 per person is required to reserve your spot. Bookings may be made online (if applicable), via email at jen@paradisenectar.com, or in person at one of our events. Once booked, you’ll receive a confirmation email with details, directions, and a required liability release form. 🔁 Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy Cancellations made at least 72 hours (3 days) in advance are eligible for a full refund or reschedule (based on availability). Cancellations made less than 72 hours in advance are non-refundable due to limited group sizes and preparation costs. No-shows or same-day cancellations are non-refundable. In the event of severe weather or instructor emergency, lessons will be rescheduled at no additional cost to participants, or a refund will be issued if a reschedule date is not available. 📝 Waitlist Policy If a class is full, you may request to be added to the waitlist by emailing jen@paradisenectar.com with your name, contact info, and preferred dates. If a spot opens up, we will contact people on the waitlist in the order received. Waitlisted participants are not charged unless they accept and confirm a booking.
