By managing their hives and caring for bees, beekeepers ensure that bees flourish and honey continues to flow, just as a couple must tend to their relationship so they may grow and flourish together.

Bees also symbolize faithfulness, dedication, hard work, indestructibility, remembering & reconnecting with our twin flame, transformation, vigilance, guidance, commitment, persistence, and collaboration.

Mead Making & Tasting

Honey, long considered the food of the gods and an aphrodisiac, is also the key ingredient of mead (honey wine), which was the foundation of the honeymoon, as it was a custom to give newlyweds enough mead to last for one month. Honey refers to the sweetness of marriage, and the moon refers to the duration of sweet blissful moments that the couple shares in the celebration of their unity.

This retreat is designed to offer a "honeymoon" experience for lovers in a committed partnership, no matter the duration or status of your relationship. This is a true celebration of love, connection, and unity; offering many activities for a playful and intimate connection with your beloved.

Couples Intuitive Beekeeping Retreat is a unique experience that is designed to bring couples closer together through the art of beekeeping. During this retreat, couples will explore honey bee hives and learn how to be gentle and loving bee guardians. Facilitator, and well-known beekeeper, Jen Rasmussen Lair intertwines intuitive beekeeping lessons with ceremonies and activities based on unity consciousness, the importance of honey bees in the continuation of life, and the spiritual nature of beekeeping. This retreat is the perfect opportunity for couples to deepen their bond and share the magic of beekeeping.

At our couples intuitive beekeeping retreat, you and your partner can relax and rejuvenate with the unique volcanic steam-heated baths and plunge pool. Take a moment to reconnect with each other and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the Puna Rainforest Hotspring Estate while soaking in the baths and taking in the stunning views of the open sky and ocean. Then, cool off with a refreshing dip in the plunge pool and relax under the stars.

Beeswax Candles & Cosmetics Crafting

At our couples intuitive beekeeping retreat, you and your partner will learn the basics of candle making and cosmetic crafting. Our experienced instructors will teach you how to make beeswax candles, including two votives, two tapers, and one unity candle. You will also learn how to make a variety of edible body butters and oils, as well as healing salves to enhance your vacation experience. Join us and explore the amazing world of beeswax crafting!
